Ph.D. Candidate in Economics · UC San Diego

Francesco Amodeo

My research focuses on Macroeconomics and Finance, with an emphasis on expectations, disagreement, and the aspects of decision-making that are relevant to policy.

In Fall 2026, I will join Johns Hopkins' Department of Economics as a Postdoctoral Fellow.

My Job Market Paper, Mind the Gap: Disagreement and Credible Monetary Policy, studies how disagreement between policymakers and markets affects the transmission of monetary policy.
